Been lurking for a while. Nothing fancy, just a RRA middy. UPS man came and dropped off my aimpoint comp ml3 and american defense cantilever mount courtesy of Tommy @ Smartgunner. GREAT customer service and a good guy.




Was kinda worried my aimpoint didn’t work when I got it, but I found that the foam spacer that’s in there fell down into the battery compartment, put it back up in the cap and it seemed to work until it must have gotten a little loose. Tightened it up nicely and have had any problems since.

One question I do have is when you all mounted your optics did you use a torque wrench for the 25-30 in-lbs that’s needed? I kinda just guesstimated and tightened it down pretty good with the wrench that was provided. Just wondering if I should tear it down, get a torque wrench and retorque it or if I’m gtg just so long as the sight doesn’t move in the mount.

Put a drop of purple or blue Loctite on each thread and tighten to finger tight with the short part of the hex wrench between your fingers/thumb.

why did you use the triangular handguard cap?
