Basically it’s a G21 with a factory grip reduction, Glock removed most of the hump. The ambi mag catch might be a plus IF it does not stick out both sides. The pic rail might give those that like lights on the weapon more choices.

I’ll admit that I was pretty bummed out when I first heard of this “new” model but after seeing the photos and thinking about it I had a change of heart. I can get 45ACP power in a smaller…errrrrr, shorter grip 
along with cheap and plentiful Glock mags and legendary Glock reliability.
I’ve always love the G21 but it’s just too damn big for a little guy like me. This could be right up my ally. I’m going to have to check out the M&P45 as well but the way I see it choices are a good thing!
I liked it, it used regular 21 mags (with two different mag catches cut on the mags). I checked the regular new 21s at our shop and yep they already have the newest mags that work in both model 21s… The grip is just barely bigger than the G17. I’ll likely be getting one.
Hmm, the wife works this weekend and you got them in the shop. I might have to make a trip tomorrow.
We don’t have the new Glock 21SF, we have regular old G21 but it already has the newest mags that work in both the 21SF and 21.

I have a 03/06 produced 21 with five mags tewo new with it and thre bought the other day, and it would be great to find out if they will work in the 21SF.

They’ll work if you cut the new mag catch into the front of them like the new mags have.
Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind when I get the chance to handle a 21SF. I love my 21 and I have large hands but we’ll see.

Some think it is Much Better…some don’t seem to notice much difference at all

On the mags? The reasoning is that for the ambi mag release, it needs a different notch setup. See HotRod9mm’s pic below for example.

Or could the 21SF be taken apart and the regular 21 mag release be installed. That would be cool.
I haven’t even seen one and I am thinking about the mods…lol…

Almost forgot. The “SF” trigger mech housing is different also. When Glock removed the hump they had to modify the housing.
