New FN SCAR Video and Brochure

Dont know if this is a dupe, but it is new to me.

I find myself being more and more drawn to the SCAR every time I see it. It looks as if FN has thought of everything for the most part.

FN also has them as new products on their site

Meh. . .

I wonder what the civie versions will run?

I like the look of the SCAR (especially the CQC) but have not had the chance to handle one, so I don’t know what the ergonomics are like or how they’ll suit me. Still, if there’s a factory SBR version of the SCAR-L available, I may be interested. Either way, I’m looking foward to seeing one in the flesh.

Gosh, I look so bad in that video ! I babble way to much ! If I cut the word ummm out, it would have went fine… oh well.

Brett when are they going to be available for civie purchase?

I watched your video on the scar Brett and I must say it certainly does look impressive! With all the hype over H&K 416 and Magpul Masada can FN compete and when will it be available to civies.

I found that the SCAR handled and shot much better that I anticipated. I looks blocky but it shoots great and handles very well. Full auto fire seemed really easy to control.

I know we are working very hard at the Civvie model. The LE side is hoping ot get them early to mid 08… Dont quote me :stuck_out_tongue:

Is the 7.62x39 variant for all intents and purposes rather dead in the water at this point?

The SCAR H (Mk17) and the SCAR L (Mk16) can be converted in the future to different calibers. We have done it already on the SCAR L (Mk16) with other calibers. It would just take a customer (US Gov / MIL) to put a requirement out.

Thanks, appreciate the reply.

You guys do good work.

Thanks ! There is much more to come !
