This is the first I’ve heard of these. Looks like a basic M4 clone to better compete with the 6920 and LMTs out there at a similar price point.
Hmmm…that looks nice, and the price sure is right!
why are these 400$ cheaper than their m-4??? the product description looks the same as m-4 to me,what did i miss??? now i see,the rail…
No Omega-X rail, no MOE stock. Fine with me, not everyone likes the weight of a 12" rail on their carbine.
The rail, the stock, and I suspect the barrel spec, I don’t think you will be getting the cold hammer forged one at those prices.
I didn’t think any hammer forged barrels were going out as of yet…
This is pretty freaking awesome.
The more, the merrier. Right?
It says that the barrel is cold hammer forged. I believe that Joe told me in an email that they were going to start producing them.

Wow! Nice! Exactly what I was hoping to see from DD but still wishing they came in 14.5 lengths. ![]()
Very nice. DD listened, and they will sell a lot of rifles for doing so.
That wouldn’t be the first add that I’ve seen listing cold hammer forged (the other one was wrong) but then again I believe have at least one that’s been produced since I know the weight of it 1lb 12oz
Several places have the DDM4 barrel listed as hammer forged but I was under the impression that it is not. There is no mention of it on DDM4.com.
Regardless of whether the barrel on the XV is hammer forged, it looks like an amazing value on a top quality AR. All you need is a light, a RDS, and a sling.
And KUDOS for them selling to California!
DD is producing hammer forged barrels. I’ve witnessed it first hand…good shit.
Nice specs on that rifle, they should sell a pile of them.
hmmm…I wonder if my two DDM4’s have CHF barrels. If not, I wish they did.
I spoke to Patrick at DD today. He did tell me specifically that it does have a CHF barrel.
Wow. That makes it an even more amazing value.
Is that also the case with the DDM4s?
Whoa. . .Looking forward to the realization of this when July 1 comes around! Hopefully RA LLC will stock them! ![]()
Did Patrick say the one selling for under $1200 have a HF barrel, or the current ones do?
