And everyone on the internet took that and said there’s going to be a rash of cyberattacks affecting our infrastructure. And I thought yea right, there’s no way they would be that obvious.
And yet here we are, and I just don’t even have the words anymore.
Anyways, I really came here to ask if Reynold’s Wrap is an effective choice to prevent the aliens from reading my mind.
On the weekend TV shows, there was a lady talking about how we need to get rid of crypto currency because it enables the untraceable movement of money for these ransom ware payments.
If you wear that tinfoil, this is a trifecta:
-terrorize the population in general
-manufacture a reason to ban Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies
-manufacture a reason to clamp down on the internet and stifle any dissent or unapproved news
The Communist-in-Chief and his band of merry commies state their Green New Deal goals of eliminating beef consumption and moving from ICE vehicles to electric. Shortly thereafter the gas supply is interrupted followed by the beef supply being interrupted. Test runs? Hmmmm, tin foil hat indeed…
So several animal rights groups have targeted this company for like the last decade. Constant small time irritations but this seems to be their first very successful cyber attack. Things were still down today, everything expected to be normal tomorrow.
I wouldn’t want to imagine what chaos the loss of electric would bring to this country… tinfoil hat and perhaps full body suit on… but I could see these days that it is something “them” would want in order to gain more control over the populous.
This is being attributed to Russian crime syndicates who are out to extort $$, not animal rights activists. Fortunately, the typical animal rights activist isn’t sharp enough to execute such an attack.
I deal with this crap every day and there is nothing to tin foil over…They were just unprepared and a bit unlucky.
But these threats from hackers using ransomware have been around for years. They should have been aware of the threats and acted to prevent such a take over. Same thing about our electrical grid. I worked in the power industry for 10 years about 20 years ago. They knew of threats to the grid back then and how vulnerable it is. They have done pretty much zilch that matters to protect the grid against the modern threats as far as I am aware of. Back then, a squirrel getting zapped on a power line brought down a majority of the north east coast grid simply because of the lack of repair to equipment that should have prevented the whole blackout.
Easy to say, hard and expensive to do…The simple fact is that these companies don’t have the budget or talent pool to adequately defend themselves from this sort of threat.
