Just ran across this:
Wow. That’s expensive! Looks like I finally found some 300blk I won’t be buying…
I noticed that midway has the pink-tip back in stock- rsilvers, do you know if that’s the same as the earlier pink tip? That’s my favorite factory load so far, very accurate.
All of the Pink Tip is the same. When that sells out, there won’t be more as the lead time for the custom bullet is too long.
is that 240 grain subsonic AND expanding?
I don’t think so. I think they are Sierra 240 MatchKing.
Cor Bon?
Before the existance of actuall 300 BLK, about the only large-scale manufacturer of 300 Whisper ammo was Cor Bon.
They know what they are doing because they’ve been making it all along.
Looks like the got around to changing the headstamp on the brass.
The more the merrier. ![]()
Are there very many other “factory” loads out there that run such a large spread of bullet weights…110gr all the way up to 240gr…damn!
If all they changed was the headstamp it won’t cycle in a 300 BLK.
They have AAC uppers for testing.
I should have been more clear. More than just the headstamp has changed but I did not claim COR-BON 300 BLK won’t cycle.
There were some significant improvements made with the 300 BLK subsonic ammo so that it cycles closer to supersonic. This allows the gas system on an AR to be made reliable with both supersonic and subsonic 300 BLK, but it won’t cycle the old subsonic ammo.
This is the first I’ve heard of the new CorBon but the old stuff with 220’s was very mild. Very accurate but mild.
