New Combat Helmet...stops rifle rounds?

Hey has anyone seen this article yet or have any other info on this?

I’m very interested in a lighter helmet that has the ballistic protection they are claiming.

With some ballistic protection advancements that I’ve read about, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were true. It wold be BA. Maybe it’ll roll out in 2020 after all of the services pay for another uniform switcharoo (jk…maybe).

I agree its an improvement, but my first thought is all that energy that is being expended on impact.

I don’t care if it has Kryptonite in it when Superman punches me in the face. I still don’t want to get hit there. Whiplash or broken neck anyone? Although it’s better than the alternative. :jester:
