Has anyone seen the new LE6920 that is in a package “deal” at Wal-Mart?
It is supposed to be Wal-Mart’s promotional “gun of the month” for December and it comes with a price confusing assortment of packaged stuff for right at $1700.
I saw it had a lot of Black Hawk add-ons:
Stock.
Quad-rail.
Sling
Flashlight.
and
Few 20-round boxes of ammo.
Some type of survival kit with food and
A gargantuan hard gun case.
Does anyone know if this is a Colt option like the MP or is it some distributor’s (or Wal-Marts’s) configured packaged deal?
Personally, unless I’m missing something, I’d elect to take the LE6920 Socom for $200 less…
Well, at least, an evil black gun is going to be WalMart’s “gun of the month”
Sounds like they removed the quality Colt furniture and replaced it with crap to attract buyers. Remember, when it comes to these rifles, most people don’t know quality parts from junk. Adding the gun case, ammo, and “survival kit” will make it attractive to the average “I want an AR15” crowd. You are better off buying a Colt6920 with all factory parts for less money.
I just feel sorry for the surfers that look at the “Chart” and this forum to read that “Colt is the standard” and run to Wal-Mart. So marketing smart Wal-Mart puts a bunch of “price confusing” items with the gun and the buyer thinks he is ready for the end of the earth.
At least the buyers are getting a Colt out of the “deal”.
Not to rain on your parade but with the doomsday prepper crowd, at least the ones I’ve run into, Colts are just “too inaccurate and unreliable,” they’d prefer a WASR with a slidefire stock for those instances where they need suppressive fire. Wish I was joking, but ran into one at work the other day who said as much when I brought up I was trying to decide to go with a Colt 6720 or a DD rifle with a LW barrel. Most are almost as unknowlegdable about guns as the media. And Blackhawk AR gear isn’t something I would take over Magpul or just Colt standard AR furniture. Certainly not interested in their mags.
The sales help at my local Wal-Mart assured me that Colts would down around $900 by Christmas. He didn’t specify which model. They’ve had a BM on the rack for the past couple of months for around that still waiting to be sold.
Don’t look at that WM employee as being a “prophet” because Cabelas had Colt’s LE6900’s for sale a few weeks ago for right at $800. Heck if Cabelas can go down to $800, WM can probably go way lower.
The tag on the one I saw said something like “Colt Blackhawk Survival Rifle”. Looked to have a Blackhawk/Ergo grip installed and a rear plate with sling mount(s) also. Don’t know if anything on it is “bad”, but don’t think it is worth the price.
It did have a fixed A1 windage with A2 flip aperture rear sight on it, but not sure who made it.
I wonder who put this package together for them? If Blackhawk did it will they sell the Colt parts they removed or could they have purchased the Colt rifles without those parts? It sure would be nice to see how this deal came about.
I would not buy that package for $1700. That is a ripoff. You can get the Socom M4A1 for less than $1500, and save yourself some money (or buy other things/ammo).
what part of this thread don’t you understand.
I am asking about the best acuarcy the the tightest smallest 5 shot group they have got with a 6920 even if match grade ammo and a 4x12 power scope was used.
can some one please save this thread, and answer the question
