NEW: Centurion Arms Free Float Rail System...

This is Centurion Arms Free Float Rail System, build in house by the good people there.

The extruded rail system weights ion at a mere 8.5oz and it is onle of the lightest and one of the more rigid rail on the market with a price that can not be beat…

this prototype rail system will be available soon…price and ETA please contact Centurion Arms.

Thank you for posting the pics & preview “SMGLee”. These look LIGHT

Will there be any longer length models?

Looks like DD and Troy rolled into one. I like it. Especially the weight.

Looks good! Curious about the price and what other sizes will be available.

Just what Ive been waiting for. Ive been trying to dig up info on these since the SHOT Colt pics came out.
Looks absolutely awesome and I really like how light it is. Glad to see it mounts directly on standard barrel nuts.
When are these set to come out and what length options?

Nice design, especially how the rail integrates with the stock barrel nut!

I’d be interested in a 9-12" with the carbine length FSB cutout…

Nice, clean rail.

That looks like another great option. Monty and Co. have really got there shit together.

With all the poo thrown at the ACR at shot this year, it really took alot of attention away from all the excellent offerings from other companies and dealers. I’m going to continue to stay broke in 2010.

looks good, would hope for a QD mount, but other than that, i like it

Very nice. I really like the design. 8.5oz is pretty sweet too. Might have to get one of those 16in. “Pencil Bbls” and consider doing a lightweight build. I’ll definitly be keeping an eye on this.

Guy,

Thank you for the kind words. There will be a few changes for the production rail it will have Q.D. sling swivels on each side and the rail cut outs in the front to allow the use of the knights rail panels. This is a prototype we did from sold billet and the production rail should be a little lighter as well. The next two sizes should be a 10in and a 12in from there we will go into doing 9in and versions with front sight post cut out.

I’m considering starting a pre-order deal on my website with a special price to get things moving. What do ya think?

Thanks
Monty

I think I need to start saving for a new upper. and I thought I was done building rifles.

Just so I make sure I actually know what I’m looking at - this is a 2-piece free-float that attaches to the standard barrel nut, without the Delta-ring, right? Or am I seeing this wrong?

If that’s the case, I’d consider a pre-order, especially with some special pricing thrown in…

Good to meet you at Shot Monty!

Your rails look good as well.

Looks good, and I am interested in trying one.

I do hate when there are posts about FF systems that attempt to measure durability, strength, rigidity, etc. If you don’t have empirical data about this, don’t post it.

Also, while the rail pictured may weigh in at 8.5 oz you have to add 2 oz. for the barrel nut which remains which means that it is actually about middle of the road in terms of weight, as pictured. To compare apples:apples this weighs 10.5 oz to the DD Omega 7.0 at 10.28 oz.

Nice. 12-13 inch version please though.

Centurion Arms are also one of the few companies that offer a hammer forged barrel build from the FN machine. so if you want an upper, this might be a good chance to get one build with their barrel and rail…

Taking a knock at my post?

The weight is based on a prototype rail, so more weight savings will be forth coming.

With the barrel nut included, the CA rail should be lighter than the Omega in production form.

No knock, I just don’t like unsubstantiated marketing hype. Out of curiosity, what is it that led you to use the phrase “most rigid rail on the market”? Compared to what other products, and how did you arrive at this conclusion?

While we’re at it, do you have the overall width and height.

I believe that was meant to be included under “one of the most”. Something just got lost in the reading/writing.
