Anybody try one of these yet? (This is the new one that takes SR-25 mags, not the old design that took FAL mags).
Anybody?
Sorry, no bananas.
I have one and have been running it a fair amount.

That’s funny
Interested in this platform. I would like to hear what you have to say about it Kelly.
I’m really impressed so far. With the LR PMags its been 100% so far, but I’m just now approaching 300rds. The midlength gas system combined with BABC makes it a dream to shoot. I have a few complaints however.
-
The CH is a flimsy POS (I’m getting a BCM-GF for it)
-
The bolt and bolt carrier is a bit rough overall. Nothing has happened to make me think its going to fail, but still I’m considering getting a spare of each and having them shotpeened and magnafluxed out of pocket.
-
The bolt catch is slightly recessed into the upper receiver and makes it hard to hit under stress/reloads. I’m hoping that an extended bolt catch/ebr of some flavor solves this.
That’s all that I really at the moment. I’ll keep posting as I get more trigger time with it.
:sarcastic:
One concern I have is aftermarket rails, such as Daniel Defense. Will the DD rails that fit DPSM uppers fit the bushy? Will they be flush? Yes, I called DD, and they haven’t tried it yet.
Does it only take the SR-25 mags, and how much are those mags?
It takes that style of magazine. You can use the DPMS, C-Products or Pmags. Pmags have already established a great rep. and they’re about $20 ea.
yeah I’m looking at different rail options at the moment. If I had my hearts desire I’d want something like the MI SS12 or the Troy TRX for it. I’m not really huge on quad rail systems anymore. The PMags have worked great so far.
I wish that DD made an Omega rail for .308s.
I just wish DD put QD sockets in their LITE rails!
Yeah i too have wondered about the bushy AR10. The main reason is Sportsmans Warehouse has them on sale for $799.99 right now so even if i don’t shoot it it’s an investment. From what i’ve heard its essentially a DPMS with a mid-length chrome lined 4150 barrel and a two-stage trigger.
Mine has the two stage trigger and chrome barrel. I need to get some glass on it to wring it out at 100 a bit. I’d be curious to see how it runs with some high quality ammo.
Holy crap, that’s quite a deal.
yeah i know thats why i seriously considering it. I mean you can’t even touch a DPMS sportical in 308 for that price. The counter guy said their company bought almost 400 of them for a great price.
KellyTTE,
how’s it running?
Still banging right along. I pulled it apart a few days ago to clean it and perform an LTI on it, still no issues of any sort. I haven’t gotten a scope for it yet, so I’m mostly running it hard at 100yds and in with 5.56 type carbine drills. It digests all of the various surplus I’ve fed it without complaint, but I am hoping to get some of our M118 just to see what it will do with it.
