I remember growing up on an Air Force base when I was a kid, and the MP’s would rock a duty belt, M9 with lanyard, and M16a2’s, and Woodland camo. I would stand there and ask them what everything was over and over again. So like you said, Warm and Fuzzy.
I guess it could be called “the generally unpopular Beretta M9 in the even more unpopular M12 holster”.

1985!!! I was issued nearly that same setup in 2009 and 2011…
I loved being a duty NCO, that one SSGT would come in to the duty hut and try to be your friend because he didn’t have any of his own. You know the guy, he would get a little too drunk at the Ball. No wait… I hated being the duty NCO.
Unlikely, I wasn’t a FFL yet and I know I bought this from one of my wholesale suppliers. I’m guessing 2001 or 2002 and I don’t think anyone would still have 1995 models in inventory.
