That looks great! What made you go with the Kino 12.5 over the standard 12.5? I’ve been looking at both of them for my duty rifle but I’m not sure what the difference is between the two.

The Kino has the sight radius of a midlength while retaining the carbine length gas system.

I wanted a SBR with a longer sight radius with a fixed front sight, so the Kino was the perfect setup. it will give me that little extra velocity while staying short and compact. I received a Midwest Industries gen2 mid-length drop in handguards today. I just got them installed and they went on very easy. They feel rock solid and look great on this upper. I will post some pics later tonight.

Now I know why I got a bonus today. 
I like it a lot. I just ordered a 11.5 regular cause I was not sure what the KINO variant did.
The Kino is a carbine operating system that allows you to use a mid length rail. It has a low pro gas block and then a fixed FSB.
Pretty sure that it is described in detail on the BCM website.
