Forgive me, I can not find my manual anywhere.
I want to know if Moly grease is applied to the barrel extension where it sits inside the upper receiver.
I know the barrel nut and receiver threads get grease, but I cannot remember if the barrel extension gets grease.
Thanks.

A thin coat can be applied. It’s really to prevent galvanic corrosion. I’ve done it with and without. Mostly without.
+1 Little coat doesn’t hurt. Either way… your fine.

If your gun was going to be deployed on amphibious assaults, I’d say definitely. Normal rain and such won’t cause the extension to fuse to the receiver.
Grease can also affect your tourque settings. It’s best to use it, just a dab will do.

He’s already using it. He’s asking about the Extension and receiver contact points.
