New AR15 owner

I’m new to ARs and just completed “building” my AR15. When I say building I really just bought a complete lower and complete lower and put them together. I got a DPMS lower and DPMS A3 flattop complete upper. The barrel is 5.56 1-9 twist chrome-lined with M4 feed ramps and a standard front site base. I recently received and installed the A.R.M.S #40L rear flip up sights. I’m ready to hit the range but don’t know exactly how to properly break-in or sight-in this rifle. I’m looking for information or instructions on what I need to do to break-in the barrel and properly sight-in the rifle.

I’ve heard that with a chrome lined barrel there is no break-in procedure necessary but I’m not sure.

Just shoot it.

It’s going to take a couple of hundred rounds to “break-in” that barrel on account of the chrome lining’s hardness.

Don’t shoot your rifle dry. Do some research and find out how to properly lube your new rifle prior to taking it to the range.

Good advice. I would also recommend verifying that all key items that should be staked in fact are. Be safe.

It’s easier to just say to read all the sticky’s and knoledge base threads
