New addiction! It's called 3-gun

Well, I’ve been a LONG time IDPA/USPSA competitor and until recently, I had never shot a 3-gun Match. After shooting the Match, I now see what all the fuss is about! I had a blast. I didn’t perform at my best, but it was definitely new and quite fun. I took a shotgun out that I had never shot, it was brand new, and I thought I knew how to run it. Guess I was wrong. I fumbled with the shotgun reloads. Boy was that an awakening experience. Being familiar with your equipment is a MUST.

The underlying equipment costs and ammo costs kept me away from the sport; however, I’ve since acquired the necessary equipment. I ran a Colt LE6920, Benelli M2, and an HK P30L. The equipment did great in 7 degree weather. I ended up second in a field of 16, so I guess I didn’t do too bad, but I have some work cut out in order to get to the level where I should be.

Thought I would share.

Congratulations on your first match! 3-gun is about as much fun as you can have while shooting, and it’s addictive like crack…

Glad you had a good time.

Glad you had fun.

I can suggest some help with the shotgun reloads. IF you load weak hand, check out this video by The Noveske Shooting Team, it gives an detailed review on how to perform a shotgun reload .

Thanks, Cold. I’ll check the link out.

Shot my first 3 gun match on Saturday. Not a big shotgunner, and didn’t do very well…26/35. had fun, though, and will probably do it again. If it gets to be a habit, I’m replacing my 590 with something 20 gauge and semi-auto. I must be getting old.

your such a chick:D

Lucky for you!

I had a great time…glad we went.
