Yall are really cool by the way…
Keep us updated.
Yeah, ive actually got a few people who want and AA upper in 545 and wanted to see mine before they ordered, they are alittle apprehensive now, and rightfully so. But I am confident they will step up and hook me up with a quality upper. I just dont want to cut a delta ring off again…
they didnt email me back today, i might call them tomorrow.
Damned right.
Me too. But, nobody is perfect. Not even Colt, not Noveske, not DD and not LMT. Give them a chance to make it right.
That’s why I assembled mine with a barrel kit, an upper and a retrofit piston kit, the gas block is clamped on with two screws and it is easy to remove and install. How about this: Since they owe you maybe you can get them to agree to install the clamp screw style gas block on your replacement upper.
Well havent heard anything from them. I will call them sometime either today or tomorrow.
You might try posting in their forum here on m4c. They were posting stuff there yesterday so it might get you noticed.
Adams is our manufacturing partner, they do really have great customer service. They are also a small company and know this fall they have been doing a lot of matches and events to promote their company. Not to make excuses for them, but they will get back to you and take care of you. If you need a contact person let me know, PM me or email me at dave(at)huldraarms dot com.
If can help out please let me know, we enjoy working with Adams and I would love to have you have the same experience.
Take care,
Dave
Hi, Yes I called them today and got a person. They do seem like a small outfit, and I understand that from first person experience. I am awaiting a RMA #. I am confident they will remedy the issue. Thank you sir.
I’m very curious about what AA has to say about what is/was wrong with your upper receiver.
Those wear marks look remarkably like out of spec machining on the receivers interior.
It’s either that or your bolt carrier is out of spec.
Do those wear marks go all the way to the barrel?
I’ve only seen wear patterns like that on unlubricated bcgs. I mean bone dry BCG’s.
“Shrugs and wanders back into the shop”
I still think it’s a faulty anodize job. The plater missed a step or two on that upper.
any closure on this yet? Very interested to hear the outcome as well as I am looking to invest in one of these kits.
