I am being asked to make a decision.
I am retired but have been asked to do a part time thing.
It requires me to be armed I have my choice I can carry a glock23 or a sig sauer P226 40 cal or a P220 45acp or the g21
Since they came out with the new, thin aluminum grips I’d go with the Sig P220. I had a beautiful P220 Elite carry SAO that I sold because the darn thing was just too big for my hands with the wood grips. Great shooters!
Well thats what forums are for and besides a guy can change his mind.
Because If I was 150% sure of my choice well then i maybe would not have started the thread. Besides this is the internet.
Glock for the win, at least in the poll so far. I carry a G22 on duty with a G27 back up and now a G35 with X300 off duty.
I’ve carried Sig’s over the years, concealed carry only, and have several 1911’s but have gotten to where a Glock is carried exclusively. Muscle memory and many thousands of rounds down range along with the increased round count of the Glock make it what I have when I need a gun.
I see only one vote for the Sig, was that you? j/k
It would depend on year of manufacture
I have shot Sigs for a while, but those of recent manufacture are not the Sigs of old.
The Gen 4 Glocks have not had the kinks worked out enough for me to recommend them to anyone.
Gen three g23 I don’t trust the gen 4’s yet. Of course if you have a few thousand trouble free rounds through it, it may be trustworthy enough for you.
That is tough. The 220 is a 9 round gun and if the trigger return spring goes your screwed. Also its a new SIG so no thanks same applies to the 226. The 21 is too bulky for me. I was forced to carry that brick for 6 years of my 12 as a LEO and hate it. The new Gen 4 grip is far better but still not my first choice. I hate the .40 in the Glock but the 23 is the only choice on your list I could live with.
