was planning on useing a BCM 20 Stainless barrel. but after hearing a lot about White Oak barrels went to their website and saw they have a .223 Varmit Barrel, its a 20" 1/7 twist comes with fitted gas block and is a heavy contour.
anyone got any opinions on this barrel?
i like the fact that for one it comes with the gas block so i wouldnt have to buy one seperate. which in turn would save me about $60 and the barrel is a tad cheaper to start with at $275. so all in all i would save a little over $100 goin with the White Oak barrel.
is the quality the same or better than BCM? i have heard a lot of great things about the White Oak barrels so it makes me lean that way some.
anyone got any ideas?
With the prices I’ve seen at Rainier sometimes, it’s hard not to look at the cost savings for the WOA as a trigger upgrade, though I have no doubt that the BCM would perform just as well.
Kind of my thought as well. with the cash i could save with the WOA i could get a much better trigger setup for my build
i bet either barrel will out shoot almost everyone here. my vote is for the WOA
