Need some high end steel or titanium side plates for concealable vest

I know the velocity titanium ones are the best, but they are absolute unobtanium. If you don’t have special in your job title you ain’t gettin em.

Hoping there’s a halfway decent alternative that’s readily available. My plate pockets are 6x6, and I need them to be as thin as humanly possible, so no buildup.

Found a set on ebay, including all 4 plates, for a cool $2800… Free shipping though.

You could try poking around TenCate resellers and see if they can source the Cratus 8075 SA; at one point Chase Tactical was selling them, when they were big into TenCate. That being said, be aware that they’re not very good against 5.56×45mm (nor are the VS ULV).

So it’s not steel,

But the Stop Stop GT2 side plates should only be .60" thick. IIRC they also weigh 1 pound. To me thats a pretty slim and light plate that will stop M855 and they are somewhat more affordable than titanium.
