I’m no operator, but I have found a two point attached at an end plate and on the rail just forward of the barrel nut offers the best balance. Relatively stable when moving and allows easier transitions from shoulders.
I tried to run a two point at both ends of the rifle several years ago and changed it back after half a carbine class.
