Need Help Now with AR

I am about to get an AR for my Dad and am in need of some info. I am after a base m4 type gun with as good a base platform as I can get under a 1000. If I go over that its another Colt. Looking at Smith, Sabre, and RR. I can get the optics ready Smith for $700 new, the smith with carry handel for 830 new, the entry tac rr for 850 and the sabre for around 900 for their base flattop m4 type . Which is of better quality or are the all around the same. Thanks.

In your price range, I’d go with a Smith and Wesson. The examples I have seen were very impressive - especially considering the accessories, (ie. Troy BUIS, rails etc). At the same time, I’m having my first return into the AR world built by Jon at Anvil Arms. Price point is there, quality is there, service is there. He’s worth a check: www.anvilarms.com

You could get one of these, I imagine, in your price range and Grant has “fixed” it. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=13532&highlight=bushmaster

Personally, I’d prefer a light weight barrel profile to an M4gery. YMMV

He said it before I could. I keep hearing good from ADS, and they look like a great value.
