Need help/advice

got some questions for all you guys out there who are way more experienced than I when it comes to bolt guns…

here is what I want to do, I recently bought a savage edge in .308 and took it out yesterday to fine tune it in for hunting. after many rounds and a rather uncomfortable time shooting and getting scope bit i figured out 2 things, 1. I need a longer LOP on the stock, 2. I need to have a higer comb or adjustable comb on the stock

I did some research on numerous websites and found a few products that I wanted to run buy you guys and get opinions/reviews on the stuff.

I am also having the same probem with my Winchester model 100 also in .308

Here are the products I am considering for the LOP problem:

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=24630/Product/SLIP_OVER_RECOIL_SYSTEM

Here are the products I am considering for the comb probelm

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=31860/Product/TAC_OPS_CHEEK_PADS

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=31707/Product/STRAP_ON_CHEEK_PAD

any other suggestions would be helpfull, I am trying to do this on a budget but I want to do this right the first time so I will spend what I need to

Thanks guys

The recoil pads should get the job done for the LOP issue. Although the Tac Ops stock packs are very nice, they don’t really raise the comb of your stock very much. If you need more adjustment in that area I would look into a Karsten Cheek piece. They work real well, and are completely adjustable. However, it does require drilling a couple of holes in your stock.

What scope and rings are you using? Using lower rings is probably your best bet. Also, the Winchester is stocked for iron sights, so it may be beyond help.
