Need Case Advise

Have a S&W M&P 15 which has a Surefire M500 on it and I need a soft case for it. Which cases will fit with that big light sticking out? I was considering the Eagle 3223 or the Uncle Mikes and the Galati.

I’m not an expert on all of the cases out there.

I wanted a soft case which would hold an AK74 with PK-AS optic and with a 30 round mag already attached. I found just the ticket.

It’s $50 and likely not the utmost quality compared to some brands you mention, but I have tossed it around a good deal and it’s held up like a champ. It is one of the few I have found that will do what I need as far as the weapon being ready to go straight from the case. It also features dual shoulder straps which are nice if you have to back carry for any distance. Like I said, it’s not the high priced spread. I couldn’t find a high end model with this one’s functionality.

I use the 5.11 soft cases for my carbine as well as my shotgun and pistols and I really like them. Might be worth checking out depending on your budget. I live the fact that they are rectangular rather than tapered like some cases as I can get more stuff in there. The large center exterior pocket holds quite a bit of crap also and the zippers are very thick and durable.

Good luck…

I have never regretted buying Eagle. Ive never even had so much as a zipper fail, much less a seam. Plus lifetime guarantee.

The Eagle RC-3223 is an excellent choice. If you plan to carry with a mag inserted, optics, a VFG, or other accessories, you may find the nose of the 3223 either gets really tight or incompatible with certain combinations.

In a discreet case, the DC-CAR-15 or -LE variant is equally good, and will carry with all those mounted.

You only pay for quality once. Leapers, Galati, UTG, UM, etc, don’t make the cut.

Here’s another one from S.E.R.T. called the MM/SERT C3:

Hope you find what you’re looking for and Enjoy!

I have had the CAR-15 case and have no complaints. Great case, great quality.
