Doing some stuff to my Bushy, yes I know I bought it before I became a member here. Anyway, needing to know your experiences/suggestions and recommendations for front and rear BUIS. I’ve been considering mainly the Troy and MI sets. I’ve used the Troy’s on my friends S&W and liked them, but have never got to play with MI’s in person to observe their quality. Basically just need a solid back-up system. Thanks all…
BTW- The gun is a Bushy “Optics Ready Carbine” with 14.5" barrel and perm. fixed Izzy brake. When done, hopefully by the new year, it will be wearing a DD Omega 9.0", Aimpoint M4 and whatever BUIS this thread leads me to choose. Also, any thoughts on the DD Omega rails?
My personal favorites are LaRue fixed buis unless I’m running a magnifier or scope then it’s Troy. I’m also waiting for the Magpul buis to come out and give it a try. It looks promising.
For the front it’s hard to beat the Troy.
I have MI flip up rear sights on my Stag and they seem well made but they’re pretty thick. For my work in progress I’ve chosen Troy. I haven’t mounted them yet (waiting on my Adco upper) but they are a lot thinner leaving more room for the scope to clear.
