Can anyone help out …I am looking for a small rail extension to finish up the length at the rear of the reciever, the rail system is an A.R.M.S. SIR (model 50c)…I have browsed the A.R.M.S. site and cant seem to find anything…I dont just want to throw a rear buis there…I would like an extension to the rail…if anyone knows of such an item please help.
I am not aware of any such extension. The rail is designed to work in conjunction with the ARMS #40 rear sight.
thats what I was afraid of …allthough my frony flip up and my rear carry handle coincide perfectly ,I dont like the gap ,and I am looking for a filler rail to take up the gap.

I do have the A.R.M.S. #40 rear sight but can not us it in conjunction with the carry handle,which is what i want to use …Im sorry I was not clear about allready having the #40 buis,I just dont want to use it
Perhaps find a cheap used #40 and someone with a mill?
Remove the flip up portion of the sight and mill the base down to fit under the carry handle.
I have no idea if it would work or not, but is about the only reasonable solution to what you are looking to accomplish.
I haven’t seen your entire setup, but think you may be much better served finding one of the newer SIR systems that doesn’t extend back over the receiver or moving to a different rail system altogether.
While I ran a SIR for a while, they have their shortcomings, and rail systems have progressed beyond what the SIR system offers (especially for the $$$).
What kind of front sight do you have on?
not sure what model right off hand but it is a yankee hill front flip…Going to work now…i will be back tomorrow evening with the model …thank you everyone so far…much appreciated
I don’t think that was a smart gear choice then if you planned on a carry handle set up.
I don’t think there’s a piece that will do what the rail isn’t intend to do.
Unless I’m missing something a carry handle will not work with that ARMS rail. It will sit way to high and you will never be able so sight the gun in.
Dude, that is the most jacked up rear sight I’ve ever seen on an AR.
You gotta choose, carry handle or SIR. You can’t use both at the same time.
