Mystery BCG.

I picked up three BCG’s from PK firearms last week. The bolts are marked CM. Someone tried to remove the manufactures mark from the carriers but missed this one.

Looks like a C. What do you think? Colt? Why remove the mark?

Also who marks there bolts CM?

I believe that the bolts marked CM are from Continental Machine and Tool. I could be wrong though.

What brand were they advertised as?

At one time those carriers were HOT…why else remove the mark?

I’d guess they were rejected by someone who runs the “C” mark on them.

It surely doesn’t look like the colt “C” that’s on any of my carriers.

Should the rear of the locking lugs have that radius cut on them?

I have 3 Colt ARs and none have that cut on the bolt locking lugs?

Yes. Those are normal.

CM is CMT (AKA Stag).

Grant,

AKA- Continental Machine and Tool, right?

Yep.

They weren’t advertised as any brand just M-16 BCG.

Your right the C doesn’t look like the Colt ones I have seen in the past. They look like they were etched on in some way. However I have noticed more manufactures are going this way. I assume it’s cheaper.
