My Twin BCM 14.5 Mid-lengths...so far

14.5 BCM light-wieght and 14.5 BCM standard mid-lengths.

Gonna add an Aimpoint H-1 and ditch MBUS for a DD fixed rear on the LW upper…and add a LaRue LT-110 for the EoTech on the other but, so still in the works…lemme know whatcha’ll think!

Nice rifles, Evil. And great pictures as well. It’s good to see ARs in black again. :stuck_out_tongue:

Since your barrels are the same except for profile it would be interesting what you report when running them hard. IE: any disadvantages of the LW… when hot…

They look fantastic!

Wow, nice rifles, and very good photos!

Very nice work Evil. You also seem to have some photography skills too!

Thanks guys! I haven’t shot the LW yet, sad cause I bought it way back when BCM actually had them in stock…but, this spring when it gets warmer I plan on doing some comparisons with a variety of ammo I have through both rifles (223 64gr Gold Dot, MK318, new MK262, 75GR Prvi Partisan match, 62gr. Fusion) through ballistics gel just for kicks and to see how they stack up.

I hope to have an Aimpoint H1 mounted on the LW upper by then, plus my 450Bushmaster needs to unleashed again!
I keep updating any new progress on the BCM Twins and how the LW performs.

If anybody has any recommendations or questions, please tell or ask!!

Evil

Just got an email from them yesterday, they were finally back in stock.

I think you’ll love the LW midlength. I built one similar to yours, with the CTR, MOE midlength handguards and all black but with a DD LW 16". Handles great and functions with any ammo I’ve put in it so far.

I noticed you said “were” so i went on thier site and of course they are already sold out, they must have went fast! atleast last time they were in stock for atleast a day or so…

Fine looking weapons!

What sling setup are you running on that LW?

Evil- What are your thoughts on running just the MBUS? Planning my first build right now and plan on running only irons for awhile. I was also thinking about going with the DD 1.5 fixed.

Both look great!

Looking good. Great looking mid-lengths.

Nice guns, is that your car in the avatar pic? If so, sweet.

I like th MBUS but, if not using an optic a fixed site would be more ideal…also if you were to leave the MBUS in the UP position its nowhere near as rugged as the DD fixed site.

Thanks, and it sure is…'69 Camaro SS (clone) is taken me nearly 4yrs. for the frame off resto. Epoxy primed and ready for paint, hopefully later this spring

What did you do to your XTM panels to make them look like that?

I reprofiled them using a wheel/bench grinder then, put a light stipple finish on them. Has a better feel mainly because they’re less “bulky”…plus adds a unigue look
