very nice sticks! Im really liking your mk12
Thanks! It’s definitely my favorite of the AR platform. Looking to replace the scope with something a bit smaller, tho.
Quite nice! What reticle did you go with on the TR-24?
How do you like the SOPMOD, versus a ACS or some other stock? I’m just curious, I am gathering the pieces for an SPR myself, and have both a spare SOPMOD and ACS laying around.
I went with the red triangle. I would prefer the green, but none were in stock from my supplier at the time. I REALLY like this scope. The glass is flawless and the triangle works great for both precision and ‘red dot’ use.
I like the SOPMOD - it’s solid and the cheek weld is perfect for me. I have never used an ACS, so I can’t comment on it. I would prefer the SOPMOD, as it’s what is used in the field when they replace the A2 stock. Since I wanted as close of a clone as possible, this is what I decided on. The ACS is prolly best for precision use, but I can still bang out 1" at 200 yards, so I suppose it’s working just fine.
200 yard group:

I have a TR-24G, and really do like it. The green does seem to be faster for my old eyes to pick up.
I will likely try both stocks, and see what works best. I am honestly leaning towards try an A2 or even a (heresy!) UBR on it.
Thanks for the info, and have fun with your nice rifles.
