is it hard to chamber the 1st round with a fully loaded magazine on the Saiga 12???

DaveC

I Love my S-12 .I haven’t got to play with the 20rd drums yet little to high in price for me:( .the saiga is my go to gun in home defense loaded with a 8 rd russian mag 3 inch 00 buck.if i can’t kill it with 8 rds i will run!!! Outstanding weapons what stock do you have on black one?? i am running the standard AK stock

Mine!!!

Warpig-

The MD20 drum is A LOT less expensive then the P.O.S. wraithmaker drum. DO NOT BUY A WM DRUM!! There a scam and don’t work!! The MD20 is going for $165 pre-order and I think $215 on final release day. MOVING ON…You know you could sell that 8 round Russki mag for $100+ and pick up 2-3 AGP 10 round magazines? There VERY RELIEABLE as I have 7 and they; AGP’s; go for anywhere from $40-55 depending on new/used status. Are you aware of the Saiga Forum…dedicated to NOTHING but Saiga’s in all calibers? PM me if you want the link.

Davechng-

Yes, it’s a little difficult to load a 10 rounder on a closed bolt. Saiga’s to my knowledge are the ONLY AK type weapon to have a BHO…bolt-hold-open. It’s a little button near the trigger guard on the ejection port side. Basically “like” the BHO on a AR. So I just lock the bolt to the rear and slide; butter smooth; a 10 rounder in pull the bolt to the rear and release.

for just a few minutes… I promise not to Teabag it too bad

Blitzking:D ha ha I do that to my saiga often

Some are still having minor issues but like I said I have 7 and all of mine worked flawlessly from the get go. I go by MCASgt New River in the Saiga forum, here, silencertalk, snipershide, glocktalk and a few others I can’t remember…if you ever see that name it’s me 99.9999999% certain  .

Mike

I have four APG mags and I have to download each one to nine rounds. Ten rounds won’t work in them.

You can’t put 10 in the mag, can’t load 10 on a closed bolt or it won’t reliably cycle with 10 in it?

I can load ten rounds in the magazines, but the top-most round won’t feed in the chamber on a closed bolt…at least not without getting deformed in the process.

Nine rounds feed and cycle reliably.

Do you have a BHO? What happens if you load the mag on an open bolt? I almost ALWAYS do it that way.

Cool video, Mike! It looked a bit painful with that volume of fire using 3" 00 buck!

Being gas operated and the 1" recoil pad it isn’t THAT bad…she still kicks though.

Thats hot!
