This is my newest Noveske custom build. They did the complete upper and I built the lower. This is my second Noveske build this year, I have to say Noveske not only builds an amazing rifle but their service and willingness to make you happy is second to none.
Optic Trijicon TA31 (Marine Corp Version) with Larue Tactical mount
Lower is a stripped Spikes I used for the build. Daniel Defense Parts Kit, Giessele Super Dynamic 3 Gun trigger, Tango Down Grip, Magpul rear sling mount, LMT SOPMOD stock.
I believe that one I painted myself…just a small brush and some hobby paint, pretty easy to do. I found it best to flood the area you want paint in and once it has been able to dry for a bit use a cleaning patch with bore cleaner to remove the extra paint.
I have gotten some time behind the rifle and ACOG over the last couple of weeks I have had it and I have to say it’s awesome! Was shooting clay targets at 100-140 yards this last weekend and it started to get a bit boring lol. Rifle is super accurate using 55 fmj, 62 HP and some M855. Was easy to hit small pieces of clay targets at that range with the ACOG. The 14.5" barrel is just as accurate as my 18" stainless Noveske rifle at that range.
Only one problem with this rifle and the other Noveske I have is now I want another one! I thought 2 would be enough but nope now I want a 3rd Noveske!!! Selling off all my LMT and such for more Noveske’s!
Have you used the switchblock yet? Does your SPR have one? I ask becouse I’m thinking about a suppressed build and hear conflicting reports on the worth of a switchblock.
I have not yet put a suppressor on it yet, that is in the works as we speak I did a lot of research about the subject and decided it was worth the small amount of money to insure the rifle would function properly for many many years of service. Noveske recommends them however there are lots of rifles that have them available or are built in as standard. The switch block slows the rate of fire to its normal levels and prevents the rifle from basically beating itself to death over the long term. When you have that kind of money wrapped up in a rifle of this caliber I figure it sure can’t hurt! John Noveske and many other designers know more than I ever will and they suggest them so I have learned it’s best to follow their advice.
My 18" DMR Noveske has a battle comp on it, I use it for 3gun, multi gun and don’t plan on suppressing that rifle at this time, so no it does not have a switch block.
