Finally got tired of waiting and dropped the hammer on the LMT308. It seems like a heck of a gun. I will post a range report in 24 hours. I plan on shooting military ball, FGMM 168 and Hornady 168 @ 100yds. I can shoot fairly well so if the rifle shoots I should be able to clover leaf the hole. Back in 24…

Actually SWFA bought the rights to the scope design many years ago and is now having the scope made in Japan to very high standards. The scope is called the SS 10x42 with side parallax. It is well liked at snipershide.
I didn’t make a value judgment. It’s the same scope.

Been buying LC M118 for putting through dad’s 700PSS at about $1.80 a pop.
Hornady, Black Hills, other premiums are like $2.40 a round. Ugh. Glad it’s his rifle and not something I’m addicted to!

Surplus cheap ammo is .45 a pop. You can get great ammo for $1.00 per pop. And you spend whatever you want to spend.
Its not that bad. Its unlikely you will go shoot 250 rounds, even if its a soft shooter 308. Its still not 5.56. It go THUMP.

Not accounting for the virgin brass, I’m reloading at 45 cents per round using Varget and 175gr SMK’s.
When I was shooting this ammo through bolt guns 500 rounds would last 3-4 months. Sadly the MWS makes it way to easy to shoot 150-200 rounds each trip to the range.
Really only flaw I have found with it so far lol.
