Well the wait is finally over! I got a handful of these in (not my full order) and decided to dress one up a bit. I had some HK (B&T) mounts in stock and put them on GSG to see if they fit (they do).
The overall feel of the GSG-5 is nice and doesn’t feel “cheap” to me in the least. The trigger is lacking, but kind of expected that.
Reliability with CCI ammo has been good for me so far.

What type of accuracy were you seeing out of the gun?
Too cold here to shoot for groups (sorry). I don’t think the weapon is going to be a anything precision oriented.

if you’ve got the low profile aimpoint mount, you can see the irons through the T-1.

I wonder if other H&K stuff will fit on them…like stocks and furniture and stuff…
Had that mount on the weapon as well. It does allow you to co-witness with a Mico Aimpoint.

Most likely (to some extent), but I wouldn’t spend all that money. Just wait and there will be parts for this gun (Stock, Rails, mounts, etc).

That looks really nice. Did you receive enough guns to cover your existing orders? What about spare mags? I think I agree with not putting high dollar HK parts on this gun. Keeping it inexpensive is the whole point behind buying this thing. Can’t wait to try one out.

Using cheaper mounts and rails on the gun is kind of the idea, but I didn’t have any of those in stock and did have the good stuff so I just stuck it on.

Are the mags dimensionally the same as the original MP5s? More specifically, do they fit “MP5” labeled kit?
