My Grendel is done - Finally

So here it is;

[ul]
[li]AMEETEC Lower
[/li][li]Larue Stealth Upper
[/li][li]Magpul PRS Stock
[/li][li]Larue 13.2" railed FF HG
[/li][li]LBC NM Carrier (Young Gen 1)
[/li][li]Lothar-Walther 22" Stainless Steel 6.5 Grendel barrel
[/li][li]CSS Grendel Bolt
[/li][li]PRI Gas Block
[/li][li]RRA 2 stage trigger. Soon to be replaced with another Gieselle
[/li][li]WOA 15 MOA scope rail (I would rather use a LT SPR type, but I need the 15 MOA cant to make sure I can get out to 1000 yards. The Scope is a few MOA short on adjustment
[/li][li]IOR 3-18x42 Tactical Scope w/ Illuminated MP8 Reticle
[/li][li]Standard CH with PRI big Latch
[/li][li]MSTN QC Brake custom cut and fit to my barrel by Randall at ar15barrels.com
[/li][/ul]

I will probably be gunkoting the barrel and brake charcoal grey soon.

Wow, nice rifle.
Looking forward to a range report.

mudbug are you going to coat it yourself or send it out?

Myself I think.

I have some dark grey gunkote that I have used for lots of things with no problems.

My only concern is that this is a smooth stainless barrel, so I need to prep it somehow.

yup. it needs to be grit blasted.

/off topic…how do you like your valdata - all likes/dislikes please?

Haven’t got to use it yet, but I have a 223 upper for this rifle also that wears a 2.5-10x42 non-illum MP8 that I really like.

It has very clear glass, very positive clicks on the adjustments, and I just really like the MP8 reticle.

For more reviews check Snipers Paradise, the 3-18x42 was spec’d by a guy over there named Flea (Verne is his real name) that has been a sniper instructor since the mid 70’s.

This is the first complete 6.5 i have seen, and its just on the internet.
Please give a good report after a couple of range sessions…

Then you need to pop on over to www.65grendel.com and you might see more than one:D

Yup, there are a bunch of them out there, just not many as nice as mine…

A may be considering getting the barrel fluted though, I weighed this last night at it came it at 14.4 pounds. which is fairly common for a sniper rifle, but I wouldn’t mind lossing a few pounds of metal.

very nice. Sharp.

I thought Mark had a scope mount with about 15MOA built in…

I didn’t see it, and I know for sure he doesn’t have the SPR w/ Cant, and 35mm rings.

nice very nice brother

Doing a build like this in the spring . Where /who is the grip from?

It’s an Ergo Tactical “Ambi”, I don’t like thumb shelves, but I like the thick palm swell.
