My first "built"...

Yep.
I bought my first AR-15 about 3 years ago - complete Bushy M2 with A1 sight.
nothing special, just simple carbine.
Sold it due to some $$ issues.

2 years ago, I did my first bulit. Again, nothing special - Bought lower reciever, PLK, added A2 buttstock, and bought complete A2 upper, and went shooting.
Was simple A2 rifle with carry handle(I still have it)

Then last year, I bought another lower reciever, with intent to do complete build by myself.
Top to bottom.
After running in to some funding issues, , I finaly got most done yeasterday.
Hard part - Upper/lower reciever, railed forearm, barrel - is done. I did ended up having local gunsmith torque the barrel in to upper. So i did have some help
Anyhow, my “Punisher” is complete enough to go shoot.

So far, it has…

DSarms A3 upper with M4 feed ramp
AnvilArms “Punisher” lower
DPMS LPK/UPK/Bolt carrier group
DPMS “skinny” barrel
Magpul MOE grip
Magpul CTR stock
Magpul MOE trigger guard
YHM Lightweight Free float Handguard
YHM forearm endcap(due to some misleading appearance of skinny barrel, it didn’t fit. I need to return it, and get bigger ID one)
Lancer L7’s
ProMag BUIS(Hey, wife bought it for me. So its staying on)

I got Dark Earth rail cover, and Tangodown BGV-MK46 in Dark Earth still sitting at shop I need to pick up.
I still want to get DE tactical light set up, Phantom Flashhider, Gasblock with flipup front sight(You know, these thing are never truely “Finished”…Its only finished for now…), and optics!

Right now, I’m torn between AimPoint CompM2 with Larue tactical’s Cantilever QD or EOtech 512 with Accucam QD mount!

For optics you would be hard pressed to beat the Larue/Aimpoint combo.

+1 for Aimpoint

… keep in mind the Comp M2 only comes in 4 MOA, if that’s what you’re looking for.

Personally I prefer 2 MOA. Try to take a look at both dot sizes before making your purchase.

no offense hoss, but sell both of them and start over

Ummm WOW, that foregrip doesn’t match the rest of the rifle. Soooo much barrel out front.

I agree - start over.

Im fond of eotechs. I mount them straight to the reciever, no need for the QD. Thats me though, try em both before you commit.
