I think you will probably get some grief for posting this in the wrong section, and I think you have a lot of people wondering what is wrong with your stock.

No reason you choose the parts you did.
You are going to be better off here reading lots of sticky threads and learning everything you can about the weapon platform and the culture of this forum.

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I’m pretty sure it’s missing something. Let me see,
- Lower receiver. Check.
- Magpul Pmag. Check.
- Collapsible Stock w/Riser and Buttpad. Check.
- Single Point Sling. Check.
- Magpul MOE Grip. Check.
There’s something else but I can’t… I don’t know. I’ll have to study it some more.
Whats wrong with your stock?
I believe it’s a California approved stock. It doesn’t allow you to manipulate the charging handle. Therefore the rifle can only be loaded and fired one round at a time.

aside from the obvious legal problems with what you suggested, how are you going chamber a round if you have a “blocked” charging handle…?
How in hell do you plan on racking your charging handle?

I am trying decide if I want to go completely custom with the upper.
The stock is a ATI stock w/ cheek riser and has to be extended 3" to pull the charging handle. I also have a MOE stock OD I may install instead (to avoid confusion with my current stock). Sorry for being new on here and just asking some questions.

The custom build area is a place to show off and or ask questions about your custom build. If you are going to post pictures of your build, please post a complete picture not just your parts, partial lowers, etc…
Also, buying an upper separate and then a lower and throwing them together does not constitute a custom build. It would also be nice if you took time to explain how you came to your decision and explain your set up. Thanks.

DesertDweller, it would be best if you read the stickies at the top of each forum. It is requested certain information is given with such posts. The stickies will explain what is expected. The information will also be the seed for the type of discussion you desire
