My first Ar15 lower build

It was easier than I thought. I think they are going to multiply!

Matrix Aerospace lower.
New Frontier Armory LPK.
Bravo Company Gunfighter mod 3 pistol grip.
Magpul CTR stock.
Magul Enhanced Trigger guard.

Nice start! How do you like the bravo pistol grip feel/color match?

And yes they tend to breed like rabbits. Never get them wet and don’t leave two lowers together in a dark space for long.

What end plate is that?

What plans do you have for this lower? How are you trying to achieve the goals for that build?

Blackhawk makes one like that.

It’s missing something…

Something very important [emoji15]

Yes it is! Something very, very, important. And no giving hints! :stuck_out_tongue:

Won’t work without it…

They’re easy to put together unless you forget a piece.

I was at the range a couple months ago and this guy next to me couldn’t get his rifle to work right. He and his buddy had put together the lower. I got tired of them fooling around so I went over to help figure out what was wrong. Turned out they left out another very important part, the disconnector spring. His ego was bruised when I showed him, but at least he knew what was wrong.

LOL! a couple of things actually. a few more if you include the tid bits.

Oh shit, just saw something else. This is getting “nutty”

The bravo pistol grip is very comfortable and natural in the wrist. The color with the magpul is so close you can’t tell.

Gosh? I wonder what is missing?

Edit… on the bright side, both are pretty straightforward installs, just don’t ruin the retainer spring for the one, and please use the guides here for how to properly stake the latter.

OK, I can’t wait. I’m going to go ahead and list the obvious.

  1. …
  2. …
  3. …
  4. …

I’m sure the OP was just in a rush for the photo op and will add the listed items when he gets the chance. If not, OH BOY! :fie:

I have been buying things piece by piece as money allows. I was thinking of a SPR type rifle.

One missing part starts with a C!

Could it be the take down pin, buffer spring, and buffer? And most likely the detent and spring for the take down pin…

And … what else?

Castle nut

Ha Ha, I missed that which which should be most obvious!

Never heard of Matrix Aerospace, but from the looks of their website it appears as though they have some experience with forging and CNC machines. I also saw a 7.62 lower… maybe forged?

So OP, what all is missing? We’re still waiting on an answer.

There is no castle nut so I don’t have the rear take down pin in. Also I have not gotten the buffer spring and buffer so there is buffer retainer.
