You dont know how excited i am, iâve been up sense 3 this morning watching UPSâs site waiting for a update haha.
I want to go to sleep so the time will pass a little faster. Ill be at the Gun Shop that its being shipped to before it even opens haha.
I feel sad though that the only upgrade i have so far is a crappy Tasco scope from walmart =[ and i only have 20 rounds. Well 19 i lost one the other day lol. But once i get more money im going to put a rail system on it and hopefully a .22 conversion kit so that i can afford to shoot it.

I put about 200 rounds through it already.
Anything i should do to keep it functioning well? I dont have a cleaning kit yet, ill need to get one.
Just keep it clean and properly lubed and sheâll be gtg.
What kind of rifle is it? If itâs chambered in .223 you should avoid firing 5.56 through it due to the higher load of the 5.56 cartridge and the difference in leade between the two chamberings.

I fired 100 wolf steel casing .223 and some remington .223.
I was low on cash and the wolf was cheap

At first i wasnât that pumped up. It just didnt seem real haha.
Then i started shooting stuff all the hell back on the hill behind my house and it felt great. I cant wait to get some more ammo. I shot all that i had today in like 2 hours. 
Oh and what should i do about the Red dot on it?
I cant see past the iron sight on the end. And it didnt come with a rear sight.
So aiming at anything was impossible.
You need a BUIS and a red dot suitable for ARâs not airsoft and plinking. Sorry to sound harsh but what you have on there is junk.
At the very least you can get a good detachable carry handle/sight, and use that until you can get something usable. Check the EE for Aimpoints or something that is quality and will work on the gun.
Yea i just got that at walmart when i went to get some ammo.
It was just like 25 bucks.
I would like to put a scope for like hunting on it. Sniper type.

But ill have to wait cause im broke right now.
I might just do like you said and get the carrying handle one.
Cause next in line that im getting for it is the .22 conversion kit, then a quad rail system or the scope instead of the rail system. Idk yet.
Welcome. Just donât jump into anything. Take your time and pay attention to what people on this site tell you. It is better to have a basic functional ar then one that has all the gadgets but isnât up to par. Who makes your gun? Look up the chart for some direction. ASK QUESTIONS! USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!

No, it is not ok. You are no better off with that than you are a small piece of rail mounted to your standard handguard for a place to attach a flashlight. Like someone said in your other thread, donât buy shit. Save up and buy quality, and spend as much as you can learning how to employ your firearm. Youâd be better off with a quality back up sight like a magpul MBUS, as that tasco will shit the bed eventually.
The coolest thing about a rifle is knowing how to use it, next to that is gear that helps you function better with it.

Yea i thought about getting the magpul pop up sight. It would do me good for now until i can afford a scope.
And like you and others said, i think ill wait for the rails and stuff until i get a good scope.
Cuase i will never use the lights, lasers or anything.

Stop! Put your hands in the air, take a big deep breath and put your wallet down and step away!
Take the next two weeks and look around this forum before you spend another dime. cheaperthandirt and Walmart are not your friends. You do not need to spend a fortune to get decent equipment for your AR. Look around here, see what others have done and learn from there successes and mistakes, mine included (mistakes). There is a ton of info here, make use of it and the expertise offered. Read first; then ask questions. You are off to a good start.

Youâll find there are âminimumâ products out there. For example, for a rail your minimum would be the likes of Midwest Industries. Your upper end rail will be something like Daniel Defense. Midrange is Troy. They are all great quality and are solid, but your MI will be almost twice as heavy as a Troy and DD.
Same goes for optics. The optic you have is junk. The recoil from your gun will tear it apart. Your minimum optic would be something like a Primary Arms brand red dot. Your upper end would be Aimpoint or Eotec. The PA will last a long time, hold zero, etc. The main draw back youâll have with it is it has a 10 day battery life. The Aimpoint has something closer to a year or 5 year battery life. So if you use the optic for home defense, you leave your Aimpoint on and itâs ready to go. Aimpoints are also 100% fog proof, built like a tank, etc, but for a range toy the PA would suit you.
So my point is, you can save some money by getting SORT OF budget items, but you may not end up being happy with them. Stick with the basics until you can afford what you want.
BUY ONCE CRY ONCE.
If you want really cheap but cool stuff, stick with Magpul MOE. Theyâre coming out with an MOE midlength handguard this year. You can mount stuff on it, but not optics. Your scope will go on your upper.
