Dang, I was just starting HS in 1984 ![]()
Looks like an AK-74 muzzle brake too.
The brake is one of the 5.5 inch versions of the AK brake pinned and welded onto the barrel.
With this rifle I learned about the hazards of using baking lacquer in my wife’s
oven.
I don’t care who you are, now that’s funny. ![]()
Dang I was turning two in 1984

How long did it take to get the smell out? ![]()
ME two, I graduated in 1988. I assembled my first one in 1987. My first was on an Essential Arms lower w/many Colt and ‘Quality Parts’ (Bushmaster) in an AR15A2 configuration (20"). But I shot M16s since 1975, Dad was active duty USMC Infantry from 1970-1992 and used to take me shooting a lot especially when he was at Quantico Firepower/PM Ground Weapons.
I don’t know because I was still out myself. ![]()
Damn, I’m getting old, graduated in '86 , then 6 years in the Corps '86-'92.
Old:confused:
I remember strolling through a Court Days in Central/Eastern Kentucky in '84 and looking at ARs just like that one, minus the scope.
I was born in '84
You guys are kinda making me feel a little old here. In 1984 I had been out of the Navy for 10 years.
