My 9mm frankenAR

Had a bunch of parts laying around from various trades. So I put this together for me and the kids to take to the indoor range that doesnt allow rifles. Its a Colt upper on a finished blank receiver. The handguards I had were pretty tore up so we threw some marine tex on them and did a texture job. The receivers are finished in some left over custom mixed dark stainless CeraKote “H” series and graphite black CeraKote “C” series on the handguards and grip.

Shoots great and the kids love shooting it. Put in for my stamp so We can put a stock on it. Justing waiting to get it back.

Looks good, the handguard seems a bit out of place on the rifle but that just my opinion.

i agree with the handguard, other than that it looks sweet!

Handguard looks like it melted in a fire. :stuck_out_tongue:

9mm carbines are fun.

That they do, but I think I am the odd ball thinking they look kind of cool, like they just seem to fit for some reason with the finish. Would make a cute little carbine once the SBR comes through.

What kind of accuracy are you getting with it?

I think the whole package looks great! The Handguard texture job looks great the one thing that I would do different is change the A2 pistol grip to a Ergo or MIAD grip and do a similar texture or just do a texture job on the A2.

Havent sat down and shot groups with it. It will keep them all in the black @ 25 yds no problem. Im not real crazy about the handguard ethier but they were free. May swap them out later when my stamp gets back. You should of seen the handguard before we threw marine tex on it, it looked like a dog had used it as a chew toy.
