I worked for a few hours in the morning but made it to the in-laws by 11am, got our stuff together and headed to the desert.

Didn’t take pix but I sure got to see hundreds of lovely women (like Ricky Bobby, “please be eighteen”). It was my first shift with the new department, in a freshwater resort town, on Independence Day. My colleages told me it would be bad “like the time year before last” when two officers got in a fight with 30 BGs, etc., but good thing not much happened. Great fireworks, great guys to work with, excellent day.
My independance day was spent working 12 hours. At least it was double time.

Good pics. I also went to the range and shot my AUG for the first time to celebrate the fact that we still have 2nd ammendment rights according to five of the nine SCOTUS justices.
