my 1st class

i have signed up for and paid for a class that is being taught at my local range. it’s Nov. 21st in New York and will be taught by MDTS. it is a carbine class with pistol as optional. 500 rds of rifle ammo and 50 rds of pistol ammo (if you choose to bring a pistol) are required. besides my AR and a Pistol, eye and ear pro and ball cap, what else should i bring? this is my 1st class ever. i currently have an Eagle Vest with 4 double m4 mag pouches and 4 pistol mag pouches that hold either 1 glock mag or 2 1911 mags each. it has a camelbak and other pouches i will take off . do i need a mag dump pouch? what type of holster? drop leg or belt? gloves, knee and elbow pads? are they necessary? what else do i need to know?

You need to contact the instructors of your upcoming class and ask them.

makes sense. thanks

This is the best advice and best place to start.

With that in mind, since I’m sure you’re looking to read up on some other folks’ thoughts on the topic of prepping for class, here are some threads that could provide some food for thought, or help you think of some good questions to ask when you call the course instructor.

thanks LOKNLOAD. much appreciated. they said to “keep it real”. bring vests, and other stuff just in case but show up how you normally would be in a situation that was relevant to your life. plain clothes for civilians, tac vests and drop legs for military, swat, police etc. cant wait
