Moving with pending stamps

Has anyone ever moved while they have paperwork pending?

I sent in forms for suppresor and sbr. Check cashed in Jan. Pending a while later, Im assuming July or August they will come. However, I recieved a new job that is far enough away we will be moving. In case the house sells before I get the stamp, has anyone ever changed address in the midst of waiting? Hoping its not a terrible process.

Moving out of the state?

Sorry, I should have said. Same state just a little over an hour away.

I’ve often wondered this… interested in hearing the answer.

Did you do it through a local shop? If so You will just need to make a trip back to the shop to pick your stuff up once they receive the stamps. I don’t think you can change the shop it is sent to. If you did it on your own then I have no idea.

Non-issue. You can advise BATF of the new address after the approved forms are received and the move is underway, but you don’t need to have any advance/special permission to relocate NFA items within the same state.

AC

That’s true on the suppressor, the SBR is form 1

Thanks Army Chief, I guess I will call when we get a new address if stamp hasn’t shown up yet.

This topic has been discussed numerous times. Simply send them a letter (I would do so in advance only if the mailing address is different) and they will take care of it.

You are only REQUIRED to notify them when moving to another state.

I didn’t search well enough, sorry. Found it this time. I will notify them when I have an address so they will mail it to the new address. Thanks, close it.

Forward your mail from the old address, as well…just in case they screw it up.

What about the chief LEO in your new community? Unless its a trust will you need approval from them?

It doesn’t matter. Once it is approved, it’s approved. AFAIK I have never heard of someone having to get permission from their new CLEO.

I had 4 Form 4’s pending for items I was selling when I moved to my current home, and the approved forms were forwarded to my new address just like other mail.

My situation is this… I have a stamp pending on an SBR lower.
I have moved to the next county and was wanting to submit another Form 1 from current county while previous is still pending. Suggestions? Should I just let ATF know of move and pending submission of additional form from new address? Thanks in advance.

Did you bother to read or search any previous posts on the matter?

You are only required to notify the BATFE when you change states. What’s going to happen with all of your other mail? Since the Form 1 is coming to you it would probably be prudent to make sure that you either have access to the mail at the previous location or that you have submitted change of address with the post office.

Not sure the “county” issue is brought up unless WV has some weird laws.

I did read the posts but did not see anyone who had two forms pending from TWO different addresses at the same time. Maybe I missed it though. If so, my apologies
