Hello everyone, total newbie here with a newbie question. I just got my first ar, a colt le 6920 with moe magpul furniture. I want to install an angled for grip and am looking at my options. It appears the m-lok accessories aren’t compatible with the moe furniture on my colt. Has anyone used magpul’s m-lok to moe adapter?
I guess my other option is to install a rail and attach the afg with a picatinny mount. What avenue would you guys/gals recommend? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Hey everyone, that’s what I was looking for. 556BlackRifle, that looks perfect, was that the 11 slot rail section bloodlord77 linked to? Do you find that this set up is comfortable to shoot with? I was concerned that with the addition of the rail, the grip area might be too high. Did you go with the afg 2 or the larger original version? Thnaks again, and congrats, that’s a nice setup you have there.
Hmmm, unless I’m reading that wrong (and thats quite possible, LOL) that looks like they are mounting moe accessories onto a m-lok handguard - i’m going the other way.

Getting confusing. The original AFG and AFG-2 use the picatinny rail. The newer M-LOK designed AFG’s do not use the picatinny rail, and attach directly to the handguard. The newer design would require the adapter kit, while the older type would only need a picatinny rail section.
The MLOK AFG direct attaches direct to the new magpul hand guards, which are MLOK. You need the adapter to use the MLOK on the older style, MOE hand guards.
