Mounting aimpoint PRO and 3x mag on flat top rail?

Since several people on here talked me out of getting a TA31 ACOG, I went ahead and ordered an Aimpoint PRO optic from GR tactical.
I have the 3x magnifer with twist mount that I am going to put with the PRO.
My questions is that I only have a plastic hand rail on this upper so I was wanting to know if I mount the PRO as far forward as I can without the mount hanging off the rail, will I have enough room to put the 3x magnifier with twist mount on the back of the rail and have enough to clear.

How long is the standard mount that comes with the PRO? Can someone measure it for me?

Is there enough room here where the PRO will mount in front of the Magnifier? Or will I have to buy a LaRue Cantilever mount for this to work?

Thanks

It looks like even if there is enough room to get it mounted, you may have to remove the rear lens cover from the PRO to try and make it fit. Is your rear MBUS already back as far as it will go?

If your MBUS is all the way back, you may have to either get a free float continuous rail (to mount the PRO farther forward) or get a cantilever mount (like the ones from ADM, Larue LT129, etc.)

Good luck, and keep us posted on it. After all, someone else may have a similar question one day and go in search of this info!

Make sure the rear sight is as far back as possible. I have no issues mounting the Aimpoint Pro along with the Aimpoint 3X magnifier on the standard receiver rail. The Pro uses an ADM mount and the 3X magnifier uses the standard Aimpoint twist mount.

I mounted my PRO on a LaRue LT-129. I am able to use a magnifier.

My magpul back up sight is mounted on slot number 2. If I did it all the way back then it hangs over the charging handle. Hopefully it will work with the standard mounts and I will not have to buy any new mounts. I do not want to put a rail on this gun.

In that case, if it doesn’t work, I’d browse the EE (both here and on other sites) for a good cantilever mount. Good luck, let us know it it works!
