I want to install a vertical grip on my N4. However after taking the handguards off the Noveske, I can’t find a way to mount an adapter. Can I take off the heat shields or do I have to drill through them to mount the CAA adaptor?
If that CAA adapter is plastic it’s not going to last.
The heat shields should come out with a little force, don’t drill through the heat shields, I have never heard of that being required.

i would go with the Midwest Industries bolt on rail over anything that CAA makes…
I have never seen a single application of a vert grip to the plastic handguards that lasted for shit. It’s just a bad combination, and there is no good way to do it.
If you’re set on a VFG, pick yourself up a drop-in rail like the Daniel Defense Omega.

It was going to be for occasional usage. I wanted to keep it rather simple and not have to pick up a Omega or quad rail. Looks like I’ll just save my money.
