I’ll ping a guy I know at LD about it, but SOMEbody on this board runs a DBAL and should be able to measure how tall it is when mounted.
The LT SPR1.93 was made to specifically clear a PEQ with the SD, and I assume (ass?) the concept is the same with the DBAL. I don’t see it being any shorter on the rail than the PEQ.
With that said it depends on your rail length. If you you are trying to mount the tube over the DBAL Im not sure on that but if you are looking to clear it visually through the SD the most you will see is a little blur on the bottom edge of the scope. Even on 1.1X that .1 above true 1X means you wont see shit on your rail.
I have a 1.93 already so we will see.
Thank you
Good luck
the DBAL A2 is 1.15" above the rail, down the center, between the adjustment knobs. the right side adjustment knob is the higher of the two, at about 1.5" above the rail.
Outstanding.
Thank you.
Good luck
FWIW - A standard SPR mount - the unit is just barely noticeable at 1x and not noticeable at at all at 4x. If and when I go to a 1.93 it will not be noticeable at any magnification. I think I will shoot it with the standard SPR mount some and see how I like it as I prefer the cheek weld with it over the 1.93.
I also threw it on the front of an SBR with standard (true co-witness) ADM mount for an Aimpoint - you can see the back of the unit but the unit is flush with the bottom of the front post and therefore well below the dot.
Good luck
