I’m gonna need some help on this. I’m pretty sure I own a 621LF however I can only find patent markings and a model number on the light which could be irrelevant. Either way the patent is 4777754 4856218 6345464 I believe this patent covers all their shotgun weapon lights though so still not sure where I can locate a model besides the box (not sure where I put it) I also believe I purchased an LED upgrade head for this so I could have an upgraded 621FA model at this point I’m not sure.

At first glance you may see no problems. However look closely at the front of the fore-end, its called an action slide tube nut. This shotgun is pictured with the forend to the rear, though it can be moved forward to cover this nut. The fore-end travels about an inch either way rather an inch total from one end to the other. I have looked around and seen hints that the action slide assembly for the 500a is different from the 500. From what I can tell surefire does not produce a model for the 500a and this is why I have this travel. I will probably be in touch with sure fire and perhaps mossberg to figure this out, though my last options will be to order a shorter action slide assembly (since it will work) or drop it off with my gunsmith. Sure would be nice if we could get some surefire folks aboard our informed forum ![]()
btw my google fu gave me this http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081223105620AAK3SDM and this may at least get my dialog with surefire started. At any rate I’ll post progress or fixes for anyone looking for answers to this question.
