So my buddy buys his first shotgun, a 500 with the combo barrel that’s 28 inches ported. He shoots skeet or jus started. I own the 590A1 with the extended magazine and speedfeed stock. He is under the impression his shotgun is superior to mine and also far more accurate. I’m trying to tell him that’s not the case and they are really identical on the inside. What do you guys think?
Sounds like your buddy needs to do some google
His ribbed barrel and stock are better for his skeet shooting than your gun. The mechanical accuracy may be the same but his is more suited for shooting moving targets. GH
Believe your 590A1 has Heavy-Walled Barrel, Metal Trigger Guard and Safety Button built to Mil-Spec demands. His 500 doesn’t.
Probably doesn’t matter to the guy shooting skeet. GH
Agree with him then offer to trade and see what he says;)
590 any day of the week… I prefer the ugly black one’s over skeet one’s anyday…
“far more accurate” is quite the stretch. I’m willing to bet they perform EXACTLY the same.
Make a bet, put 'em on paper, and win some skrilla.
