I have a 930 spx and have this safety on order: http://elitetacticaladvantage.com/products/shotguns/mossberg/safety.html
It is for 930 but will fit a 590. Obviously I can’t give any feedback for you but it is another option for you to consider.

I like it! Kind of a cross between the factory/Vang and the SST…
I use the Vang safeties and most recently the ETA safety.
I don’t like the ski jump of the Brownell’s. The pic of the Cav Arms safety is kind of deceiving. It is HUGE. You can’t really tell it without something for scale, but they are meant to sit under the top rail adapter for the M4 style stock unit, so that middle channel is about as wide as a Pic rail section. It’s been a while since I saw one, but I was surprised at how big it actually was.

I run the Vang on mine…works well for me. Think its a matter of personal choice…Good luck!
