I am having an odd issue with my mossberg 500 now that i dont remember having. I was out shooting clays with it and noticed if i pumped it back slow while it was down at my side and horizontal the shell would fall in front of the follower. I would have to give it a quick shake before i could push the pump forward and the shell into the chamber.
Do any of you know what would cause this?
This is one of my home defence shotguns so im not wild about this happening now. Another thing is i was going to make this one more for my fiance until this happened. That brings me to another issue… For me the shotgun feels good but she doesnt have as wide of shoulders as me so she has a hard time getting it into her shoulder pocket.
How well would a youth length Houge stock fix this? Im not wild about the collapsable stocks and definatly dont want a pistol grip. Since she couldnt get a good hold on her shoulder i told her she probably didnt want to try it yet. (she has never shot a shotgun before. Do any of you know of any other good recoil reducers i could use.
